Skomer’s sublime slugs

Some sea slugs can be several centimetres in length, whereas others may be smaller than a grain of rice. Quite often the only clue to a sea slug’s presence are its eggs. Usually laid in ribbons or rosettes, the shape can help identify the species laying them.

Festivities at Martin’s Haven as Skomer Marine Nature Reserve celebrates its 20th birthday. Some well known faces gathered, and Iolo Williams was on form as guest speaker recalling his experience of snorkelling in the MNR.
